Vinous
The 2020 Pouilly Fumé La Moynerie is ripe, rich and almost creamy despite there being no malolactic conversion. It is likely a combination of the terroir and the high alcohol (14.5%). It has a boxwood-like note alongside ripe pear and apple fruit flavors. The alcohol gives a slightly hot finish, detracting from the overall impression and cutting the length. In 2020, the alcohol of Les Toupées and Les Cornets was so high that they didn’t make these two single vineyard cuvées and blended them into La Moynerie.
