A classically-styled Bordeaux-blend with deep colour, it shows elegance and restraint on the nose with hints of lead-pencil shavings, fresh red berries and blackcurrants. On the palate the wine shows a wonderful balance between dark fruit (mulberries and blackcurrants) and more earthy tones with a long lingering finish.

The 2019 Private Collection has a decent red cherry and strawberry nose. The palate is soft on the entry and rounded in texture. An easy-drinking, quite oaky Bordeaux blend to drink over the next couple of years.
