Bodega Numathia

Founded in 1998, Numanthia calls on amongst the world’s oldest vines, some as old as 150 years, which have survived on their own roots, as the sandy soils and remotness of the area have kept phlloxera at bay. Only vines over 30 years old are used for fruit and three wines are made, Termanthia from over 100 year old vines, Numanthia from the majority of the estate and then Termes from the ‘younger’ vines, which is made in a more open style. Numanthia was purchased by LVMH in 2008 and the wines have become finer over the past few vintages.
