Cave Des Vignerons de Saumur

Founded in 1957 by 40 growers, the Cave des Vignerons is now under the stewardship of only its third President, Jean-Louis Bazille. One of the most modern and forward thinking co-operatives, they instituted integrated agriculture in the 1970s and built a new winery in 2000. In 2008, they received the AgriConfidence Eco label for all members vineyards, which signifies their use of sustainable methods, with much of the vineyard area is now certified organic.
