Chateau de Beaucastel

At over 100 hectares this is one of Châteauneuf’s largest domaines and it is also one of its best and is now run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Perrin family. Organic since the 1950s, unusually, Mourvèdre makes up a third of the final blend and the wines have a rich savoury and meaty quality to them. This is also the source of one of the finest whites in the appellation and a sumptuous, rare and expensive old vine Roussanne cuvée.
