Chateau Martinolles

Situated in Limoux in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the Château Martinolles vineyards are planted at between 200m and 280m altitude to the local Mauzac variety, the basis of Limoux wines, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir. The climate here takes influence from the Mediterranean, the mountains, and from the Atlantic, and is surprisingly cool for such a Southern region. Conditions are perfect for the production of sparkling wines, which started here as early as the 16th century, and also for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
