Domaine Antonin Guyon

Domaine Antonin Guyon is one of the largest family-owned domaines in Burgundy, comprising a remarkable 48 hectares of some of the finest vineyards across the Côte d’Or and is now farmed completely organically. From Meursault 1er Cru Charmes in the Côte de Beaune to Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, it’s a truly breath-taking array of vineyards. Their most prized plots are on the hill of Corton, where they are a small but significant presence on the Grand Cru slopes. With vines in Corton-Charlemagne and Corton Clos du Roy, they are neighbours of some of the most iconic producers on the hill, including Bonneau-du-Martray and Domaine de la Romanée Conti. These Grand Cru vines are all ploughed using horses to minimise the impact on the soil and the domaine has been proudly certified organic since the 2018 vintage. Dominique Guyon and his long-term cellar master Vincent Nicot remain at the helm, but they are ably and increasingly assisted by Dominique’s daughter, Hombeline, who led the move to organic viticulture and is now fine-tuning the winemaking to allow their terroirs to shine ever more brightly. We think that these are some of the most classically styled, best value wines you can buy from Burgundy.
