Domaine Francois Bertheau

François has 6.2 hectares of vines in Chambolle Musigny, with half in the villages appellation and the remainder in some of the top Premier Crus and Grand Cru Bonnes Mares. He’s the fifth generation of his family at the estate, he was been in charge since 2004. His vines have an average age of 50 years and with such good raw materials, François practices minimal intervention in the winery. Everything is destemmed and élevage is conducted with minimal racking and new oak.
