The 2022 País-Moscatel Agreste is a 90-10% blend from Almahue, Cachapoal, and was aged in oak barrels. Light ruby red in the glass. The fruity nose contains hints of damp earth, leafy notes and sour cherry liqueur couched against a subtle Muscat backdrop. Light but indulgent in the mouth, País’s coarse tannins sculpt the easygoing flow precisely. This is an unusually light red inspired by Maule region, albeit in a riper manner.
