The 2023 Chablis Village has a simple, slightly plain bouquet with apple peelings and loamy scents, but overall, it lacks some vigor. The palate is slightly waxy on the entry and has a modest weight. The 2023 Chablis Village has a refined bouquet that’s not complex but well defined with a light stony component mixed with orange blossom. The palate is balanced with a fresh mandarin- and nectarine-tinged entry, a keen thread of acidity and a spicy finish. This is a Chablis Village that holds your interest. Tasted blind at the BIVB offices in Chablis.
